To enter the online playing room press the button
from the toolbar.
The first time you click on it, the following window appears:
If you are registered in the general online room of InterAjedrez, you already have a valid nick and password. You need to enter that information in the corresponding fields and press the "OK" button. If you are not registered yet, you can do it on the spot by entering the nick and password that you wish, your email address and press the Button "Register." In this latter case, you may eventually get an error message if the requested Nick is already in use, for example:
In that case you will be returned to the identification window.
A more comfortable way to identify yourself is to create a connection profile, that includes your login data. Use the button Configure
options and then use the second tab, labeled "Sj":
The Sj configuration tab includes many fields, but under normal circunstances, we need only enter our nick and password.
By default, the viewer comes with a preconfigured connection profile to enter as guest. You can use it as a template to create a permanent login by simply modifying the Nick and Password fields replacing the default values with your own data. You may also wish to modify the ID field writing something that remind us this access profile and differentiate it from others, for example if you have entered the Nick Albert, we would put something similar to InterAjedrez Albert.
It's very important to remember that once you modify the default profile with fresh data, if you press the Registration button you will have two profiles, the new one plus the default profile. If you wish to simply overwrite the default profile, you have to press on the Update button.
To finish up the configuration process, press "OK" to close that window.
It is now the right time to press the button from the main toolbar to enter the online playing room:
This window has its own toolbar. The first button
is the one to connect. When you click on it, a list is unfolded with the different profiles that you might have previously registered:
You click on the desired profile and a few seconds later you will be connected to the online room.
3D Viewer. The 3D version of the viewer allows to watch and play the games in a three dimensions board 3D. One disadavantage though is that on it you cannot drag the pieces with the mouse, instead, to make a move you have to click twice, first on the square of origin and then in the destination square.
You can rotate the board in any direction by clicking on any point and dragging the mouse in a given direction. If you click with the right button and drag the mouse upwards or downwards, the board gets closer or moves far away. The board size can also be changed, modifying the size of the container window by dragging its edges.
Chat. To avoid that several likely incidences in the online room (the system's messages, players entry/ exit) interrupt the action of writing in the chat, when there is any character in the zone where the comments are written, the viewer activates a blockade that does not allow to make certain actions. Erasing what is written in the comment zone is enough for all the possibilities
to be available again. If you wish to keep locked the chat zone, press the button , situated in the lower right side of this zone and then the the image will turn into .
Live game analysis. When connected to an online room, it's possible to open up a blackboard with the button
located in the main toolbar.
In the upper left zone of the blackboard you can see the buttons:
The two buttons start up the calculation engine selected in that moment. The analysis of the current game being played starts. Every time a new move is played in the game, the move will be reflected in the blackboard and the engine will start to analyze the new position. The difference between either button is that if you press on the first one, the analysis will be sent to the server and can be seen by all persons connected while if you press on the second button the analysis will only be private.
The evaluations from the engine will be shown every time a better variation is found or when the engine increases the depth of its calculation. You can adjust the frecuency of appearance for those evaluations by specifing a value en the textbox located a the right of the buttons.
To be able to use the first button, that shows the ananlysis to all connected users, it is required to enter a special password that is only available to the Admins and sys operators. None of the two buttons is available to the players actually involved in the live game.
